Description

The Ropox Safety Strip is designed to enhance user safety by detecting potential entrapment or pinch hazards at the underside edge of the worktop, in conjunction with electrically height-adjustable frames. Installed discreetly beneath the front and side edges of the tabletop, the strip helps safeguard users when the worktop moves up or down.

 We recommend installing the strip along three sides of the tabletop to maximise protection in the key risk zones. The Safety Strip offers a simple yet effective layer of safety.

This accessory is compatible with all electric variants of the Flexi worktop system except FlexiPlus.

Safety strip length

The standard cable length is 150 cm, and the strip is available in fixed lengths from 56 cm to 920 cm.

The length of the strip should cover the front and sides of the worktop.

Example calculation given: for a worktop depth of 62 cm you’d take “worktop length + 2 x 58 cm = length of safety strip” – so it covers the front plus returns on the sides.

Each height-adjustable frame requires its own safety strip — you cannot connect several strips in series.

Installation

The safety strip is installed beneath the front and side edges of the worktop, using double-sided adhesive tape.

The surface where the safety strip is mounted must be clean, dry, and free from grease to ensure proper adhesion.
